Goat Witch Tattoo Values and Ethics
Reducing Environmental Impact
The tattoo industry utilizes a lot of single-use products to reduce the likelihood of transmission of blood borne infections. This creates a massive amount of waste. Goat Witch Tattoo has partnered with Good Judy Eco Tattoo Supplies to source medical barriers and single-use products that are certified compostable. We also utilize medical grade, EPA registered disinfectants that are non toxic and biodegradable.
Increasing Accessibility
Goat Witch Tattoo recognizes tattoo and healing ceremony can be inaccessible for financial, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive reasons. Our policies aim to reduce or eliminate these barriers to access our services. On our booking form we have a space to express access needs. We can provide wheelchair access, alter the environment for sensory sensitivity, and have a background working with neurodiverse clients. I utilize a sliding scale hourly rate to both ensure fair compensation for artistic labor, and provide some flexibility for those experiencing financial insecurity.
Safe Space, for LGBTQ, BIPOC and Neurodiverse Individuals.
Everyone has their own unique experiences of discrimination and oppression. Goat Witch Tattoo fosters an intersectional, trauma-informed practice, based on active listening and working with client needs in a safe, collaborative, and compassionate manner. My practices are structured with the goal of preventing actions that could retraumatize individuals with a history of trauma. Goat Witch Tattoo focuses on building on the strengths and resilience of clients within their environments and communities. Black Lives Matter, Tans Youth Lives Matter, Land Back!
